Dr. Judi Shaw MD, FACP, MMM, CPE, a board-certified internal medicine physician with over 30 years of diverse experience.
Dr. Shaw believes that “to whom much is given, much is expected” and has volunteered her time locally and internationally over the years.
She has witnessed well intended volunteer operations provide great immediate success but lacked longevity nor continuity due to inadequate cultural awareness and poor collaboration with the local communities and medical teams.
She believes that a successful volunteer mission must include community, education, and health care integration. She has always believed that health starts locally,
and wellness is personal.
After years of delivering care in the traditional bureaucratic atmosphere, the calling to step outside her comfort zone and extend a helping hand was too loud to ignore.
The drive to improve the health and wellbeing of those disenfranchised became a purpose and driving force for elements of change. This vision planted the foundation of the Shaw OpCo Corporation.
Dr. Shaw has extensive board experience having served on the boards of The Houston Museum of Natural Science, Harris County Medical Society, Physicians Organization of Women and Together Erasing Autism /Tre’ Rice Endowment Foundation which she founded.
