JAMAICA White River Fish Sanctuary Community program

Shaw OpCo Corporation is collaborating with Jamaican NGO, White River Marine Association (WRMA) to aid in their coral restoration. Concurrently we will be providing a structured educational program to the community children on marine life, environmental & biomedical health and the impact on the sustainability of the communities impacted. Four scholarships per program will be awarded to graduating seniors in STEM and elementary students.
Shaw OpCo Corporation goals are to positively impact the community to achieve self sustainability through skill sets enhancement, education and awareness and healthy lifestyles.

Shaw OpCo Corporation awarded the winners Anika Wilmot & Jahna Wisdon each a $300 book scholarship for school year 2022-2023.
All participants of the program received a certificate of completion of the 4 week educational environmental program “The Ocean & all its Treasurers” led by Reanne McKenzie of White River Fish Sanctuary. The students from Newstead School presented their dioramas and an essay to a panel of judges.
